Description
Embark on an aquatic adventure that combines stand-up paddleboarding with the rich nature and biodiversity of the Peñas Blancas River. We'll cover a total of 7 km, where we can observe a wide variety of birds such as herons, kingfishers, anhingas, and owls, as well as bats, lizards, monkeys, sloths, and a diverse array of other wildlife. Additionally, we'll navigate near small communities along the river, appreciating the vital role this natural resource plays for them. During the descent, we'll see a dense variety of native plants and trees, essential for maintaining the local ecosystem. This activity is conducted with one of our naturalist guides, who will provide an overview of the forest and its species through an analysis of the ecosystem and its interactions. Following the guide's instructions, you'll also have the opportunity to perform paddleboarding tricks and fully enjoy the experience throughout the journey. At the end of our descent, a delicious traditional Costa Rican snack awaits us, including fried plantains, sour cream, cheese, yuca bread, agua dulce, coffee, or natural juice.
