Explore the captivating Hanging Bridges Forest Reserve, spanning 243 hectares (600 acres) of protected tropical rainforest. Ideal for nature enthusiasts, this adventure offers a 3.1 km (2 mi.) circuit trail featuring 15 impressive bridges, including both suspended and stationary structures. Each bridge provides unique vantage points to observe diverse flora and fauna across different forest levels. Look out for three species of monkeys, a variety of birds, snakes, peccaries, and frogs amidst the lush vegetation.The terrain is gently sloped and suitable for all ages and abilities. At the end of the hike, savor a delightful snack of tropical fruits with a picturesque view of Arenal Volcano before continuing to our next destination.
Next, marvel at La Fortuna Waterfall, cascading from a height of 70 meters (230 feet) into crystal-clear pools.
